TeLEOS-2 and Lumelite-4, two Singaporean satellites, were successfully launched into orbit by the dependable Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) while seven other payloads attached to the PS4 upper stage were used for experiments, according to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).

CUET PG Exam 2023 Date Released

University Grants Commission Chairman M. Jagadesh Kumar said that the entrance exam will be conducted on June 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2023 . The registration date for this exam has recently been extended to May 5. Along with this, the UGC Chairman has advised the candidates who have applied or are applying for CUET PG 2023 to keep visiting the entrance examination portal, cuet.nta.nic.in as well as for any kind of official information related to the entrance examination. ‘Amrit Kalash’

State Bank of India  India’s largest lender by assets, has announced the re-introduction of its retail term deposit scheme, Amrit Kalash. The scheme offers a special tenor of 400 days and provides an interest rate of 7.6% for senior citizens and 7.1% for others. This deposit scheme had previously been launched by SBI on February 15, 2023, and was valid till March 31, 2023. The reintroduction of this scheme provides customers with another opportunity to avail themselves of the attractive interest rates offered by SBI.

Asian Wrestling Championships 2023

 36th edition of Asian Wrestling Championships was held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 9 April to 14 April 2023.Aman Sehrawat, a freestyle wrestler, won India’s 1st gold medal, under the men’s 57kg freestyle category, at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2023 Aman Sehrawat won the gold medal by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Almaz Smanbekov (9-4), who won the bronze medal in 2022. India has won 14 medals(one gold, three silvers and 10 bronze) and is ranked 7th in overall medal tally. Kazakhstan was topped in medal tally followed by Japan and Iran.

Three day long G20 MACS Meeting begins in Varanasi today

The theme of the meeting is "Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems for Healthy People and the Planet.' Around 80 foreign delegates from G20 member states are participating in the event.The three-day meet is being organized by the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.Director General of Indian Council of Agricultural Research Dr. Himanshu Pathak told that this is the 100th event related to G20.The discussions covered various issues of agricultural research and development including food security and nutrition, climate smart agriculture, digital agriculture, public private partnership etc.

India’s first 3D-printed post office to come up in Bengaluru.

According to recent news reports, a 3D-printed post office is being built in Bengaluru, India, which will be the first of its kind in the country. Residents of Cambridge Layout are reportedly pleased with this development. The cost of constructing this post office is estimated to be 30 to 40 percent lower than that of a traditional building, and it is expected to be completed within 30 days. The 1100 square feet post office will cost around Rs 23 lakh to construct.

PhonePe launches e-commerce app Pincode on ONDC network

A new book in Hindi titled Gandhi: Siyasat aur Sampradaiykta (‘ Gandhi: Politics and Communalism’) written by journalist-turned-author Piyush Babele, who currently heads the Madhya Pradesh Congress’ media department. He cites extracts from Dr. Ambedkar’s book Pakistan or the Partition of India and other sources, and claims to “contextualise the developments leading up to India’s Partition in 1947 to bust the illusion spread by the Hindu right wing that Mahatma Gandhi was responsible for the Partition”.

Admit card released for JEE Main April session

Admit cards for JEE Main entrance exam have been issued. The admit card download link has been activated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) at the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Through this link, using the application number, candidates can download their admit card. The examination will be conducted till April 12 on different fixed dates. Earlier, the city intimation slip for the allotted exam was issued by NTA to the candidates recently on 31st March. A total of nine lakh 40 thousand students have applied for the April exam this year.
The second session of the exam will be started from 6th April.
