What is TVET?

Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions are instrumental in equipping both young people and adults with the knowledge, values, and attitudes needed to secure decent employment in the labor market. Worldwide, there are 230 TVET institutions, with 3 major institutions situated in India. 

These institutions support young minds in developing 21st-century skills like digital, entrepreneurial, and green skills. It prepares the youth for the fast-evolving labor market with its various training programs. 

 

Skill India Day 

 

"Skill India" is an initiative by the government of India aimed at raising awareness about the necessity and significance of enhancing the skills of the younger generations. This campaign was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and is overseen by the National Skills Development Corporation of India. The initiative emphasizes the empowerment of youth through a range of skill development programs offered by the Government of India.
