Changes in NEET AIQ Counselling 2024
The NEET 2024 counselling process introduces significant changes compared to previous years. Previously, the MCC conducted three rounds of AIQ counselling, after which any remaining vacant seats were transferred to state counselling. However, for NEET 2024, there will now be four specific rounds for AIQ seats.
- NEET AIQ Round 1
- NEET AIQ Round 2
- AIQ Mop-up Round
- AIQ Stray Vacancy Round
Key points to note:
- Please take note of the following: - New registrations are only allowed for Round 1, Round 2, and the Mop-up Round.
- There is no provision for upgrading from Round 2. Once a seat is secured in Round 2, candidates cannot choose a higher preference seat in later rounds.
- Candidates who accept a seat in Round 2 cannot withdraw or take part in subsequent rounds.
- Candidates who do not accept admission in Round 2 can participate in the next round, but they must register again for the Mop-up Round. This will lead to the loss of the security deposit.
This process revision aims to streamline seat allocation and ensure efficient filling of all AIQ seats.
