Latest News:
A few days ago, National Testing Agency has released JEE Mains 2023 notification. Consequently, this exam will be held in two sessions. Under this, the first session will be held in January and April. The first session will be held from January 24 to 31, 2023, while the next session will be held from April 6 to 12, 2023.

There has been a demand for the exam to be postponed since the JEE Mains date was announced. Social media is being used by students to demand the postponement of the January 2023 Joint Entrance Examination Mains Exam session. Several students have tweeted about this.

Students claim they will not have enough time to study because the JEE Mains 2023 exam date clashes with the CBSE class 12th preboard examinations and practical exams. Students have asked NTA to postpone the January session.

What is JEE?

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an entrance test conducted at the national level by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into various engineering colleges in India. The exam is constituted in two phases: JEE Main and JEE Advanced.

(i) JEE Mains

JEE Mains has three papers, Paper-I, Paper-II, and Paper-III. Paper-I is for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses and is conducted in a Computer Based Test mode. Paper-II is for admission in B.Arch courses, whereas Paper-III is for B.Planning courses offered by NITs, IITs, DTU, and other GFTIs. Paper-III will also be conducted in Computer Based Test mode except for one paper, namely the “Drawing Test” which shall be conducted in Pen and Paper mode or offline mode.

(ii) JEE Advanced

The candidate must pass JEE Mains in order to be considered for JEE Advanced. Candidates must rank among the top 2,50,000 successful performers in the JEE Mains B.E./B.Tech paper (across all categories). Candidates must have passed the class 12 board exams with a minimum score of 75%. The required score for reserved categories is 65 percent. Candidates can only give the JEE Advanced exam twice in consecutive years.
